My 13yo daughter wants some some sort of movie/video editor software for X-Mas.  She's doing several projects for school that she could use this for, plus, she's shown a growing interest in making her own.  However, I have little idea about this stuff.  So I'm looking for something decent she can use, Windows OS, for $200 or less.  Any help?

I am partial to Adobe Premiere. I think it retails for about that amount. Doesn't Media Player have a built in video editor?

Don't get a Mac for this. The days of Apple's ruling over all things multimedia are pretty much over.

Doesn't Windows 7 have an editor? Windows Movie Maker or something?
